Thanks to Rolland, I can show today my first cover from Jamaica. Jamaica is an island country situated in the Caribbean Sea, comprising the third-largest island of the Greater Antilles. Once a Spanish possession known as Santiago, in 1655 it came under the rule of England, and was called Jamaica. It achieved full independence from the United Kingdom on 6 August 1962. The capital is Kingston.
The two stamps franking the cover have been issued for Christmas 2013. The 20 Jamaican dollars stamp shows a night blooming cereus, a cereus cactus, and the JMD 120 stamp features a century palm!
