Le Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) est l'homme politique indien le plus connu internationalement. Gandhi, apôtre de la non-violence est reconnu comme le Père de la Nation en Inde, où son anniversaire est une fête nationale. Il passa 22 ans de sa vie en Afrique du Sud avant de revenir dans son pays natal. C'est le centenaire de ce retour dans sa patrie que célèbrent ces deux jolis timbres indiens de 2015. Mahatma Gandhi (2 October 1869 – 30 January 1948) was the leader of the Indian independence movement against British Rule. Employing nonviolent civil disobedience, Gandhi led India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. He spent 22 years in South Africa. Thanks Anandita for this two 2015 stamps commemorating the centenary of his return in India.
