L'exposition internationale de 2012 va se tenir de Mai à Août dans la ville de Yeosu en Corée du Sud. Le thème en sera : "Pour des côtes et des océans vivants". L'Algérie a émis un timbre à 15 dinars pour commémorer cet événement. Merci à Omar pour l'envoi de cette enveloppe avec une oblitération Premier Jour!
Thanks Omar for this FDC cover with a 15 Dinars stamp dedicated to the 2012 International Exposition that will held in Yeosu in the Republic of Korea. 19 years after Daejeon, the other Korean city of Yeosu (located on the southwest coast of the country) has indeed been chosen to host this international event of first plan, from May until August 2012 with nearly 8 million visitors expected.
The theme of this expo is "The Living Ocean and Coast" with a focus on the diversity of marine resources and sustainable activities.
On remarque sur ce timbre regroupant de nombreux symboles la khamsa ou "main à cinq doigts". C'est une main protectrice ou main de Dieu qui est un porte-bonheur très répandu dans toute l'Afrique du Nord.
