De nouveau merci à Josep pour cette jolie lettre andorrane. Je vous rappelle qu'Andorre n'a pas de services postaux propres. Ce sont la France et l'Espagne qui gèrent la gestion du courrier. Il existe donc deux administrations postales qui cohabitent en Andorre et émettent leurs timbres! Sur cette lettre, on trouve deux timbres de 2015 émis par la poste espagnole en Andorre. A noter qu'Andorre est la seule nation où le catalan est la langue officielle même si bien sûr, le français et l'espagnol sont largement parlés dans la principauté pyrénéenne.
Thank you again Josep for this cover from the Principality of Andorra, a landlocked microstate in Europe, located in the Pyrenees mountains, bordered by France and Spain. To note that Postal services in Andorra are unique in that they are not operated by the Principality itself, but by its two larger neighbouring countries, Spain and France. This is a legacy of the centuries of de facto control exercised by those two countries over Andorra. Correos of Spain and La Poste of France operate side by side. This letter is franked with two 2015 stamps issued by the Spanish post in Andorra. To note that Andorra is the only nation with Catalan as official language.
