Les 25 ans de l'Assemblée Balte. Baltic Assembly, 25th anniversary.

 Existant depuis le 8 novembre 1991, l'Assemblée balte est une organisation visant à favoriser la coopération entre les trois pays baltes (l'Estonie, la Lettonie et la Lituanie). Le siège de l'assemblée se situe à Riga, la capitale de la Lettonie. Ce timbre letton à 0,50€ tiré à 100 000 exemplaires célèbre les 25 ans de cette institution. 

The Baltic Assembly is a regional organization that promotes intergovernmental cooperation between the Baltic republics of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. It attempts to find a common position in relation to many international issues, including economic, political and cultural issues. The decisions of the assembly are advisory. The budget of the BA is funded by the three member governments. The official languages of the Baltic Assembly are Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian. The headquarters and secretariat of the organization are located in Riga, capital of Latvia.
