Les Comores sont un archipel de 4 îles dans l'océan Indien, à l'ouest de la pointe nord de Madagascar. Ces îles furent colonie française de 1841 à 1974. Suite à un référendum, Mayotte a choisi de rester française. De fait, les Comores sont aujourd'hui un pays indépendant de quelques 800 000 habitants formé de 3 îles , la Grande Comore, Mohéli et Anjouan. La capitale est Moroni, sur l'île de la Grande Comore.
